В субботу 2 мая в столице Литовской республики состоялся традиционный ежегодный фестиваль уличной музыки. В рамках фестиваля в городе проходили выступления как профессиональных, так и любительских музыкальных коллективов из Литвы и других европейских стран. Фестиваль стал также частью программы культурного развития «Вильнюс — культурная столица Европы-2009», в котором литовская столица принимает участие наравне с австрийским городом Линц.

Hi everyone!

While workig on the annotatoins, I came accross these 5 weak points of Harvey’s global-capital-urban analysis as they were outlined by M.P.Smith in his book “Transnational Urbanism” . There, he criticizes Harvey for being politically biased (favoring the class antagonisms over all other social conflicts). I find this criticism rather convincing and worth keeping in mind with regard to our CASE project. (more…)
